PHOTOGRAPHY RATE

In Studio: R850/hour.

On Location: R850/hour + travel expenses (R8 per km within the greater Johannesburg area – no charge within a 20km radius of the studio).

Arrangements can be made for all other locations. Cost on request.

Make up can be done by yourself or it can be arranged before a shoot by a private makeup artist. Cost on request.

Kindly note: once a quote has been accepted, a 50% deposit will be required before date of confirmation of booking.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Show someone how much they mean to you by giving a gift that will last forever. Whether it be a birthday, anniversary or just saying thank you to someone, make it a special memory by giving them a Hansa Photography Gift Certificate.

Upon completion of the shoot, photos will be saved to CD/DVD; downloaded to your memory stick or emailed to you. Should you wish to have pictures printed, arrangements can be made to have them picked up or posted.

“Keeping things simple”

PHOTO TIPS

Any person in this day and age can take a picture with a mobile phone or camera but the question is whether you can be proud of the picture you have taken. Are your pictures of loved ones or holidays memorable and worth uploading to your favorite social network site or printing and framing; for all your friends and family to view?

Listed below are a few brief suggestions to help you take better pictures (in no particular order):

Read your manual !!! - relax and enjoy the process of creating a unique moment in time which will be captured with the click of a button.

Keep it simple – that goes for both the scene u want to shoot as well as the settings on the camera; if the camera has any. Start off with auto setting to gain some confidence; then try master one advanced setting at a time.

Be ready – or your subject might not want to wait around for you to decide what’s the best setting for the scene.

Select your background – create a point of interest for your picture then make sure there are no distracting items in the back ground like poles sticking out of your subjects head.

Get close – to your subject and fill the frame with the main point of focus which creates a more pleasing overall picture.

Compose and focus –use leading lines creating direction to your subject; creating a balanced and pleasing picture to the eye. Use the portrait or Av setting to create an out of focus background.

Light – is the key to creating a great picture. Don’t take a picture with the light source in front of you; behind or side light works best.

Weather - sunlight, dawn and dusk; the light is diffused making it great to take pictures; even rainy days could make a great photo opportunity.

Be adventures – try different point of view i.e. get low or high: vertical or horizontal format.

Hold the camera steady - to many pictures are blurry; so place the camera on a fixed surface or use a tripod if u have; if not just make sure u hold the camera firm especially if there Is less light available.
